The developer of this project purchased a closed Kullman diner in West Chester Pennsylvania and transported it to Truckee, North Lake Tahoe California. This historic diner was faithfully restored to its original condition and a new building was built behind the Diner to accommodate a full kitchen , dinning room and restroom facilities. Seating capacity is approximately 150 plus seasonal use of an outdoor patio. The Truckee Diner received extensive national and regional newspaper and television coverage including being featured as one of the top 10 Diners in America on the Food Network show.
The Truckee Diner was reopened in 1996 and the developer leased to the building to a local operator. The developer has elected not to renew the Tenant's lease and is seeking an experienced restaurant operator. Perspective tenants must have a passion and understanding of the history of American diners, extensive experience in the comfort food or fast casual segment and have good financial statement.
The developer is willing to consider a joint venture in the ownership of the real estate.
